Oh Canada! You have some amazing Airbnb properties. And we’d like to stay in all of them!
If you’re planning on exploring the Great White North this Spring and Summer, we suggest taking a look at these amazing places.
1. St John’s, NFLD
The SocialTravellers team plans on heading to Newfoundland this summer. (Seriously, have you seen how beautiful this place is?!) As we’ve been doing the research to figure out accommodations we found this fantastic property on Signal Hill (a hiker’s paradise). Not only is this place bright and beautiful, it also has one of the best views of the harbour.
2. Haliburton Highlands, ON
Us Canadians come out of hibernation the minute the snow melts. (Sorry Netflix, I think we should start seeing other people.) Anyhoo, if you’re craving a weekend in cottage country, then we suggest heading to Haliburton, Ontario. This area is awesome. It’s a lot less crowded than the Muskokas and a little bit cheaper too. This particular property is located on Lake Kashagawigamog. It sleeps eight , and has a large kitchen and Jacuzzi. Plus, this cottage is right on the lake, so you can spend the weekend drinking caesars on the dock.
3. Calgary, AB
Calgary is a blast, especially during the Stampede. It is not uncommon to see everyone rocking a good pair of cowboy boots. If your’e planning on being in Calgary for this event, then we suggest booking this awesome accommodation in the heart of the city. It comfortably sleeps four guests, and boasts one of the best views.
4. Canmore, AB
If you’re heading to Calgary, you MUST spend some time in the Rocky Mountains. Head on up to Canmore (a short drive from the city) and spend some quality time with Mother Nature. Also, why not grab a few pals and (affordably) “ball out” in this sweet penthouse. Stunning views, two large balconies, Jacuzzi and swimming pool are just some of the amenities you’ll enjoy.
5. Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON
The Niagara region offers way more than the falls, it is also home to a pretty famed wine region. If you consider yourself a “grape juice” connoisseur, then spend the weekend visiting the region’s different wineries. There are plenty of fun bicycle tours worth checking out too. To ensure that everyone can join in on the fun, we suggest renting out a place for the weekend. Our favourite is the Seven Residence. This beautiful home is located on one of the most beautiful properties we have every seen.
6. Quebec City, QC
Experience “Europe” without actually flying across the pond by spending a long weekend in Quebec City. This unique place has a real european vibe thanks to its cobblestone streets and colonial style buildings. If you’re a foodie, then you’ll love it here too, as this place has several well-known restaurants. After a long day of sight seeing, relax in this beautiful home.
7. Vancouver Island, BC
We absolutely love Vancouver Island. It is a nature enthusiast’s dream. Hiking, biking, swimming, and surfing. (Yes, surfing!) This charming rustic little cabin in the woods, is an amazing place to stay. Not only is it totally unique, it’s only a 15 minute walk away from Pebble Beach.
Damnnn….. Daniel. This place is perfect.
8. Mahone Bay, NS
Spend your days listening to the ocean waves crashing gently against the shores. Mahone Bay is a wonderful place for an east coast holiday. And this cute little cottage is perfect for some much needed R&R.
9. Toronto, Canada
We don’t mean to sound biased, but Toronto is friggin’ awesome in the summer. Festivals (music, beer, art) the Jays, outdoor concerts, and the island are just some of the things we love. If you’re planning on spending some time in The 6ix, chill out in this awesome apartment. Located on King Street West, this property is close to all your city favourites. We love it.
10. Montreal, QC
This Quebec city is full of fun: museums, bars, and an annual summer music festival. Its European flavour can be seen on the streets of old Montreal. This gorgeous loft is centrally located as it’s right beside La Fontaine Park.
